Tandy Brands to market Goodyear gift line

Tandy Brands Accessories Inc announced that it has signed an agreement to become a licensee of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for selected gifts and auto accessories. The products will be available for marketing beginning Spring, 2008.
Tandy Brands will market the Goodyear gift line to auto parts retail outlets, tire dealers, and mass market auto departments. This will open up a whole new distribution channel for Tandy Brands.
Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies. The company manufactures tires, engineered rubber products and chemicals in more than 90 facilities in 28 countries around the world. Goodyear employs more than 75,000 people worldwide.
"We are pleased to be exploring new product opportunities with a great company like Goodyear and look forward to offering our product to the consumer with one of the best known and respected names in the auto world. We believe the Goodyear name will add instant credibility to our product," said Britt Jenkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tandy Brands.
