There was a generally very favourable response to the way in which product categories were grouped in the three exhibition halls at APLF - Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (MMT), 2007. To a degree this was forced upon us by the renovation work being undertaken at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The renovation will continue next year but will be completed in time for MMT 2010.
It's much too early to announce detailed plans so far ahead, except to say that the renovation will help satisfy the insatiable demand of MMT, together with Fashion Access and Prime Source for more and more exhibition space year after year. With the leather industry enjoying a period of expansion and growth we believe the additional facilities will be more than sufficient to see us through 2010, 2011, 2012... and beyond.
Mr Michael Duck, Director of APLF Ltd, noted that, "Hong Kong remains the ideal location for hosting the leather industry's premiere international events, and the Wanchai area of Hong Kong offers an unparallel mix of commercial and entertainment facilities," Mr Duck explained that, although there has been some comparatively minor inconvenience caused by the renovations, "The APLF exhibitions will remain firmly anchored to HKCEC."
Fair Dates for 2008 and 2009: APLF - MMT will again run for three days, 31 March - 2 April 2008 and 1 - 3 April 2009, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
