Oswal & GOM ink MoU to set up Kolhapur shirting project

Hoping that a positive, progressive and peaceful environment will always be there in the state, he said that the group will try to bring further investments and activities in the state of Maharashtra in the time to come.
The group has already planned setting up a dye-house and a shirt making facility close to the present site of the yarn-dyed shirting project at Kolhapur.
Shri Vilasraoji Deshmukh, honb'le chief minister, while expressing his views on this occasion said that "it is indeed a matter of pleasure that reputed companies like Vardhman Polytex Limited have opted to establish their manufacturing facility for high-end shirting fabric for the first time outside Punjab, in the state of Maharashtra. I am happy that they have plan to have further investments in the state of Maharashtra considering the positive environment and response from the state govt. officials"
Shri Ashok Chavhan, hon'ble industries minister wel-comed the Oswal Group having entered the state of Maharashtra and assured that all the possible help and co-operation will be available to the entrepreneurs who have decided to come here from such a distant place. He also hoped that the Oswal Group will have soon more investments in the state.
Mr Sudheer Rangnekar, President [corporate affairs] of Oswal Group informed on this occasion that so far the manufacturing facilities of the group were in the state of Punjab only. This will be the first manufacturing facility of Oswal Group anywhere outside Punjab.
The Oswal Group was doing surveys of various states for an appropriate location for its shirting fabric project and based on the proximity to the ports and other positive factors, the group decided to have the facility established in Kagal, near Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
In the time to come, the Oswal Group will have an integrated facility in the form of spinning, weaving, dyeing and shirt-making at the same or nearby locations in Maharashtra.
