Premier KIDS stead-fast in tough trading times

Premier KIDS July 2007 had another successful season, with quality independent retailers and key buyers from department stores sourcing childrenswear, maternity and lifestyles products for Spring/Summer 2008 among over 300 brands on show.
Premier KIDS attracted quality attendance and visitor numbers remain like-for-like, attracting a core visitor base with 85% being owners and buyers. Key stores attending include department stores Bentalls, Selfridges, Debenhams, Hoopers and Fenwick and retailers Quackers, Daisy Chain, Clerys, Hansel & Gretel, Hopscotch, Jabberwocky, and Just Kidding.
The show delivered good overseas attendance from Russia, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Hungary, Estonia, Iceland, USA, Hong Kong, Canada, The Netherlands and Ireland.
“In a difficult retail climate, Premier KIDS has succeeded again in bringing together a wide and varied offer of new and interesting fresh brands to quality and focused buyers. Continuing to position itself as a key transactional event, Johnny Hindle from Footsie 100, launching at Premier KIDS enthused; “independent buyers flocked our stand causing quite a traffic jam, the three of us didn't have ten minutes rest throughout the day. On the first day we took 28 orders from the UK and overseas visitors from Ireland, The Netherlands, Canada, Estonia, Colombia and the US have shown great interest. The show has certainly taken us by storm, and we will definitely rebook for the next Premier KIDS.”
