Spare change weighing you down? Charming Shoppes has found a way to turn your spare change into coats for underprivileged children across the country.

Charming Shoppes is introducing a new program at its retail stores called Round-Up for Keeping Kids Warm where customers can help little ones stay warm by rounding up their sale to the next dollar.

Charming Shoppes' family of stores includes Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Catherines Plus Sizes, and Petite Sophisticate.

"We are committed to supporting the families and children that make up our communities. The purpose of Round-Up for Keeping Kids Warm is to raise money to provide more students with coats this winter season," said Dorrit J. Bern, chairman, CEO and president of Charming Shoppes.

"In the fast-paced world in which we live, it's hard to take time-off to volunteer. Round-Up for Keeping Kids Warm is a way to make it easier for everyone to help children." One hundred percent of the proceeds from Round-Up for Keeping Kids Warm benefit the Keeping Kids Warm program.

"Keeping Kids Warm has provided new winter coats to students for the past eleven years," states Bern. "There are many situations when the student has never had any winter coat, new or old. Those are the kids we remember - the kids who inspire us to continue the program year after year," continues Bern.

This is the twelfth year that Charming Shoppes has presented the Keeping Kids Warm program. At the end of this winter season, the company will have donated more than 90,000 winter coats to elementary students within 64 communities across 26 different states in such cities as Minneapolis, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Syracuse, NY, Newark, NJ and many other cities across America. This fall, Charming Shoppes will be visiting over 30 schools and giving away 20,000 coats.
