Neeta Lulla opening show for Gitanjali Jewellery at LFW

Opulence, grandeur, beauty, and dazzle came together for the opening show at the Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2008 season, as Gitanjali Lifestyle and famed designer Neeta Lulla presented one of the most stunning ramp shows.

The presentation opened with a romantic sequence by ace dancer Sandip Soparkar who set the mood for the delightful show.

The Stefan Hafner line of Jewellery by Giannti which is a very high end collection for the connoisseur; was a range of necklaces, earrings and brooches in glittering diamonds that only could be created by a genius.

Gold and diamonds never came together in a more wondrous mode as they did under the brilliant creativity of Stefan Hafner. Diamonds twinkled on lacey chokers, striking necklaces with prominent pendants, elegant earrings and eye catching brooches.

Neeta Lulla's stunning collection in pastels described as “An Eye for Excellence” was in the most beautiful shades that floated done the ramp in all their “Red Carpet” inspired glory.

From shades of blue to earthy green, peach, pink, beige and ivory in soft flowing chiffons, laces and georgettes, the figure hugging draped creations had the most delicate lace edging; Neeta added some brilliant cholis with her innovatively styled saris.

The embellishments were restricted to silver embroidery on borders and hemlines while cleverly inserts lace on sari Kalis and bodices were breathtakingly beautiful.

Gitanjali Lifestyle and Neeta Lulla – a formidable fashion combination - was indeed the most sizzling opening that set the pace on the first day at Lakme Fashion Week.
