Acknowledging the outstanding leadership of Fashion Design Chair Rosemary Brantley, Roger Wyett, former vice president of global apparel at Nike Inc and now CEO of Hurley, announced a five-year endowment gift for fashion design scholarships.
Immediately following Wyett's announcement, Bob Hurley, Chairman of the Nike-owned lifestyle brand Hurley, also contributed to the scholarship fund, for a total joint gift of $1 million.
The endowment provides scholarship support to the outstanding students who go on to attain leadership positions within Nike, Hurley and countless international fashion and apparel companies - as Otis alumni have done for the last 20 years.
Longtime mentor Nike is currently working with Otis Fashion students to conceptualize active wear based on Brazil's 2010 World Cup soccer team.
