Russian diamond maker ALROSA Co Ltd announced that on 10th & 15th September the ALROSA Executive Committee meet in Mirny under the chairmanship of the Company's president Alexander Nichiporuk.
The Committee considered new appointments and changes to the Executive Committee.
By the Committee's decision Petr Glagolev was appointed ALROSA First Vice-President – Executive Director.
Alexander Morozkin was appointed Vice-President for Co-ordination of Projects in North Western Russia.
Vladimir Vlasov was dismissed from the Executive Committee because of his retirement. Vlasov will continue with ALROSA as Advisor with its Advisors' Division.
Alexander Makhrachev, ALROSA Chief Metallurgist, was appointed Deputy Executive Director, Operations.
The Committee also discussed labor safety and industrial security at ALROSA operations. Deputy Chief Engineer, Labour Safety, Industrial and Transport Security, A. Usov and Deputy Chief Engineer, Underground Operations, A. Filatov reported on this issue. The work to assure labour safety and industrial security in 2004-2005 was found satisfactory.
The Committee also considered the transfer to the municipalities of 'Mirny District', 'Lensk District', 'Anabar National (Dolgano-Evenkiisky) Ulus'of social and cultural facilities built under the program dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Russian diamond industry and the city of Mirny.
