As evacuees enter the Memphis area, where Nike's largest U.S. footwear and apparel distribution centers are located, the company is working with local community organizations to understand how Nike can support efforts there through cash, product donations and volunteer opportunities.
Nike is supporting employees who donate their time to those organizations active in relief efforts by contributing $10 per hour for each volunteer hour given, with a minimum of 25 hours per community-based organization. Volunteer opportunities are being communicated to employees as they are available.
Wholly owned Nike subsidiaries include Converse Inc, which designs, markets and distributes athletic footwear, apparel and accessories.
Bauer NIKE Hockey Inc, a leading designer and distributor of hockey equipment; Cole Haan, a leading designer and marketer of luxury shoes, handbags, accessories and coats; Hurley International LLC, which designs, markets and distributes action sports and youth lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories and Exeter Brands Group LLC, which designs and markets athletic footwear and apparel for the value retail channel.
