Techtextil Rossija 2005 in Moscow concludes on a successful note

“High Tex from Germany” is jointly organised by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour, the Association of the German Trade-Fair Industry and the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry. This way, Moscow brought together manufacturers representing a vast range of products, from industrial equipment to fabrics for special-purpose clothing. The exhibition was held in a newly built pavilion of Crocus Expo, the most contemporary exhibition centre in Russia.

On the opening day, "High Tex from Germany" arranged a symposium where institutes and universities presented 17 expert speeches on textiles for mobility, infrastructure and automotive topics. Over the two following days, manufacturers and scientists from Russian research institutes took part in the second Techtextil Symposium Russia on technical textiles, nonwovens and protective clothing. The symposium was completed by Techtextil product presentations which showed current examples of application.

The greatest interest and most active discussions were evoked by special reports on various subjects, such as "Ecology of nonwoven materials", "Protective effectiveness of fabrics from complex threads against cuts", "Utilization of geotextiles in road construction", and others. The speakers and the audience could exchange information and many new contacts between research institutes and industrial companies were made.

Michael Jaenecke, Director Techtextil Worldwide, who opened the symposium informed that the symposia were well attended. Information and innovation are the pacemakers in the industry, and we are proud to see that, once again, Techtextil has brought this expertise together to make itself valuable to the Russian industry. Russia is a growing market with high potential to the industry world-wide.
