Launch of Jillian Michaels Collection by K-Swiss

California Sports Company K-Swiss announces the Jillian Michaels Collection by K-Swiss, a women's fitness and lifestyle apparel line inspired and designed by America's Toughest Trainer and premier wellness coach, Jillian Michaels. The Jillian Michaels Collection by K-Swiss will be sold at Amazon and select Nordstrom stores beginning on April 15, 2011.

The Jillian Michaels Collection by K-Swiss features 13 cohesive styles, all with a fashionable, vintage look yet still affordable, functional and comfortable. The line is infused with basics and bright colors, such as Bubblegum pink, Turquoise, Paradise Green and Black.

"I designed this collection with my own desires for hip, comfortable, cool-looking fitness and lifestyle clothes in mind," said Jillian Michaels. "I wanted a collection that reflected all the moods a woman goes through during the course of her week. The performance pieces allow us to still feel sexy and feminine thanks to flattering lines and bright colors. The lifestyle pieces are meant to cross over from gym to brunch with friends."

Select styles feature inspirational graphics as part of a campaign to raise money and awareness to fight America's childhood obesity epidemic. Inspired by the (RED) campaign, Jillian wanted to create a clothing line that would ignite conversation and incite a call-to-action.

"Having grown up an overweight child, I know the pain it can cause physically and emotionally," said Jillian. "And, as I grow older and face the challenge of raising my own kids, I want to do everything I can to ensure that America's children have all the help and opportunities they can to ensure they become healthy, happy adults."

A portion of proceeds from each purchase of these signature styles will go directly to the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity by 2015 and empower kids to make healthy lifestyle choices.
