The mountain sports company VAUDE from Tettnang was honoured in a competition entitled "Erfolgsfaktor Familie 2005" on May 24th, by Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin. Out of a total of 366, 35 companies engaged in improving compatibility between family and career were selected in three categories, small, mid-sized, or large, from various industries.
VAUDE was chosen in the category "mid-sized companies" for its family friendly company policy, on-site day care center for VAUDE employees, as well as its flex-time policy. The top 35 companies were honoured in a ceremony at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin together with the three winners by the Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder who had taken on the patronage of the competition and the Federal Minister of Family Affairs, Renate Schmidt.
