Basaveshwara Engineering College plans fashion design course

Basaveshwara Engineering College-Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park (BEC-STEP) in Northern Karnataka, plans to conduct a three-month training course in fashion design technology, that begins around second week of this month.
Dr M Mahadeviah, Director, informed that the program will include training in various types of hand embroidery, stitching, paper drafting, paper cutting, designing, Baandani, skirts, frocks, Salwar kameez and so on.
Several expert professionals will be educating these skills to the students.
This training will be useful for unemployed women so as to help them earn a living on their own.
Four such projects that were organized by STEP have helped more than 80 people to go into self-employment.
Interested women below the age of 35 are urged to register their names and take advantage of this facility.
Basaveshwara Engineering College has put a great emphasis on qualified teaching faculty and actively promotes the faculty in acquiring upgraded skills.
