"The Joy Box is a pet project of mine to bring about a greater sense of community involvement with the citizens of Bangalore. I am really glad I could use the platform of Bangalore Fashion Week to get the message out," said Lakshmi Sheshadri who used the fashion platform to spread awareness on her initiative 'The Joy Box'. The key for the first Joy Box was presented to NGO Anantha Shishu Sevashrama.

The four-day fashion event will conclude on August 6, 2017. This season, the event aims to set the stage of the future of fashion through its festive winter collection. On the first day of the fashion event, students from Dream Zone, a design school, also showcased their collection of rustic and bohemian designs, peppered with ruffles.

"Bangalore Fashion Week aims to provide a platform to all budding and leading fashion designers of the country to showcase their stylish collection where buyers and media get to see their creations. We are proud to introduce names that not only define the future of fashion but bring in the rich fashion heritage the country has to offer," Feroz Khan, event director-Dream Merchants, said. (RR)
