Italian luxury fashion house Armani Group has announced its commitment to stop using angora wool across all of its lines from Fall Winter 2022/2023 season onwards, adding it to the list of excluded materials within its fur-free policy. Recently, British-Portuguese online luxury fashion retail platform Farfetch also banned the sale of angora wool products.

Armani Group had banned animal fur across all products back in 2016 following an agreement with the Fur Free Alliance.

“I am pleased to announce the abolition of angora wool from all the collections of the Armani Group, testimony to our tangible commitment in monitoring our production with respect to protecting the natural world. I have always believed in innovation and research of new materials and innovative methods for processing traditional raw materials,” CEO Giorgio Armani said in a statement.
