Liberty BOD approves HP unit in tax incentive area

Footwear brand Liberty Shoes Ltd informed that the company is looking to expand its footwear manufacturing capacities. It has also decided to fabricate a unit in Himachal Pradesh (HP).
The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the board at its meeting held on December 17 took a decision to this effect and approved setting up of the unit in the tax incentive area of Himachal Pradesh (HP).
The board also gave their nod to the induction of independent directors.
Liberty Footwear is the only Indian company that is among the top 5 manufacturers of leather footwear of the world with a turnover in excess of U.S. $100 million and producing more than 50,000 pairs of footwear a day.
