As experts for high-grade natural cosmetics, Aveda ensured sustainable glamour for the models' make-up and hairstyling. Actress Andrea Sawatzki was delighted with the successful fashion show. “The salon show was really fantastic and I discovered lots of wonderful articles I would love to have in my wardrobe. It's great that attractive fashions now go hand-in-hand with a good conscience. Nowadays, it's important not to consume without thinking but firstly to find out how and from what materials products are made.”
Ethical Fashion Show presents casualwear and streetwear The Ethical Fashion Show also made its first appearance at Hotel Adlon Kempinski. In additional rooms, 'GREENshowroom featuring Ethical Fashion Show' presented selected casualwear and streetwear labels such as Caboclo, Elementum, Ethos, Harolds, Jonäno, Kaethe Maerz, OAT Shoes and Slowmo. Launched in 2004, the Ethical Fashion Show is held in Paris and focuses on ethically, socially and environmentally friendly fashions that are both trendy and creative. It was taken over by Messe Frankfurt last year.
Dirk-Jan Oudshoorn, Finance & Supply Chain Manager of OAT Shoes, was very pleased with the results of the presentation in Berlin: “We made lots of new contacts, many more than expected. People were very enthusiastic about our products and there were some potential customers among them, too. The echo from the press and bloggers was also very good.”
Consumers with an interest in green fashions were also well catered for. At the GREENshop, they had the chance to look through the latest collections and purchase articles they liked. Both visitors and exhibitors were taken with the stylish ambience and the intimate atmosphere of the event.
Several suites were open on the first floor of the five-star hotel and provided an extraordinary setting for the show. “I have seen a variety of fairs and landed here very quickly. I like the superior ambience very much – it is perfect for my products. Visitors like to spend time in the rooms, and I think it's great that I don't have to set up my own stand”, says Katrin Kummer, proprietor and designer of STUDIO ECOCENTRIC.
The next GREENshowroom will be held at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin from 18 to 20 January 2012.
