The much-awaited Ritu Beri's collection left the audience spellbound on the final day of the Bangalore Fashion Week.
For Ritu Beri's 'Summerleas' presentation, the ramp was made into beautiful golden garden that had golden leaves all over. The collection was a contemporary twist on traditional Indian garments.
It included ghagras with odhinis, kurtas, as well as salwars and churidars. There was a wide range of colours from red, white, yellow and gold to metallics and black.
Models like Lakshmi Rana and Aanchal cat-walked for the ace designer, while actress Lisa Haydon drew a huge round of applause.
The other designers, who showcased their collection before Ritu Beri, also proved their mettle. Fashion designer Ashish Sahani presented his collection 'Dimension', which used only eco-friendly fabrics.
Tina Gupta's collection 'Let's Rewind' retained traditional and vintage styles such as bell sleeves and lantern sleeves, which gave them a fusion look.
'Black Magic' was a collection of bags designed by Prabhat Kumar. The wide range of bags and clutches was made in tune with the needs of today's generation.
Long flowy anarkalis in chiffons and soft light net coupled with swarovskis were the highlights of Parul Grover's 'The Spring Fling', which was basically a wedding wear collection.
'Spring Summer Wedding Collection' by designer Mohit Falood presented wedding trousers made from banarasi fabrics, thai net wraps and georgettes blended with silk.
