White goes green with C.L.A.S.S. - a successful season

The latest edition of the trade fair White closed its doors after registering a significant increase in visitor numbers and to claims of another successful event. At the fair, for the fifth successive season, visitors were able to experience the extraordinary area dedicated to eco fashion and design ”White goes green with C.L.A.S.S.” that has become an integral part of the event.

The international salon of contemporary fashion recorded an increased number of visitors with respect to the last edition and a notable increase in the number of foreign buyers.

The “White goes green with C.L.A.S.S.” area hosted and promoted the following brands, producers of fashion collections, accessories, jewellery and lingerie, all chosen for their fashion but also research content: 2ADD, Bioneuma, Fondo 9, desMode, Kenland, Kreisicouture, Gaia Pace, Magma Jewels, Le Cose di Vazzano, Momi Maison, Of HandMade, Silenzio Stampa By Alice Visin, Sofia Retro Bazar and Venuxberg, a definite highlight was the presence of a “guest of honour” at the C.L.A.S.S.

Eco-Library in the form of a dress, designed by Giorgio Armani and made from Newlife for Livia Firth, wife of the 2011 Oscar winning actor Colin Firth and passionate supporter of ecolifestyle, which she wore at the recent Golden Globe award ceremony.

The Newlife collection launched by Filature Miroglio as a platform of yarns and eco sustainable technologies as recently as February 2011 has proved a winner and is already present in over 50 fabric collections the world over.

The first edition of “White goes green with C.L.A.S.S.” in New York attracted many visitors who admired the collections of the brands present 959, Momi Maison and Le cose di Eugenio Vazzano as well as the yarns and fabrics that as always enrich the C.L.A.S.S. ecolibrary.

By promoting the spirit of design research through the promotion and distribution of unique and responsibly made design products, C.L.A.S.S. transforms a general green vision and eco-business into an elegant life style choice.

Important resonance was given to this concept by the discussion panel at “Rethinking Fashion: Design Responsibility” organised by the prestigious Parsons New School for design in cooperation with C.L.A.S.S., Filature Miroglio, Yoox Group US, Stylus America e White Show which confirmed the continued growing interest in responsible innovation in the fashion sector.
