Fashion giants Inditex, Mango & Cortefiel eye European & Asian markets

Recognizing the potential and growing interest for fashion in Europe and Asia, Spanish fashion retailers are getting attracted towards these potential markets.
Inditex, the biggest clothing group in Spain and one of the largest in the world, has launched a record 400 new stores in 2005, with an investment of around €800 million.
Company now has 2693 outlets spanning 60 countries and plans to open another 400–450 in 2006.
Mango, which has the greatest international presence, boasts around 841 stores around the world.
Company looks towards the US where it plans to open a logistics centre in New Jersey.
Cortefiel has over 1100 stores of which only 28 are outside Spain.
worldwide, it has plans to double its network in next five years.
Thus, many Spanish fashion houses are venturing out to Europe and Asia to make most of the potential that exists in there.
