each year, designers from across europe gather in milan, italy, for milano design week to present their newest work and gain inspiration for next year. milano design week is the premier venue for the design industry.
this year, dupont corian was used to design 203 products, installations, and projects for lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, and furniture. additionally, corian sponsored the "ora-ito museum", an exhibition/installation of the creations by french designer ora-ito. exhibitors used corian for various designs, including:
the "trotzdem" collection, designed by light designer ingo maurer who created three vast oval tables, entirely made of corian glacier white. the table rests on oval legs, also made of corian; norwegian designer lars ernst hole who created lamps made of various colors of corian; and two trays, a short shower bench, and a washbasin designed by nevio tellatin.
