Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier has unveiled a Sikh-inspired menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2013 at the Paris Fashion Week.

At the show, models walked the ramp dressed as turbaned Sikhs, wearing different apparels like tuxes, shorts, T-shirts, blazers and overcoats.

A model was spotted wearing a colourful turban, in combination with a sports jacket that had a pearl-embroidered sailor collar.

The trousers were pleated, and sometimes very high-waisted and even laced up at the back.

The new collection represents a fashionable man, who is passionate about his travels and has high respect for various cultures.

Gaultier is known for his love for Indian culture, but so far that was reflected only in his womenswear designs like the saree gowns, which became hugely popular.

The designer first visited India in the 1970s and since then he has been a frequent traveler to the Asian country.
