Paris will be just buzzing with creativity in early September when the Ethical Fashion Show and design week take place. Exhibitions and showrooms for fashion and interior design will open their doors to the countless professional visitors coming to the capital.

From 6 to 9 September, the Ethical Fashion Show will unveil the new collections from ethical/eco-friendly companies and designers with womenswear, unisex and children's ranges and accessories. We notice a strong French presence in all categories.

The exhibition will welcome 6 firms from the L'AME collective (Action pour la Mode Ethique = Campaign for Ethical Fashion): Andes Made, A-typic, Ethos, Les Soieries de Mékong, Sobosibio, Sweet Blossom. Peru will also be presenting six firms with the Prom Peru programme which supports local designers in exporting their collections to foreign countries.

Here is a preview of the firms and the range of products:

For womenswear: Doreen Mashika (Tanzania) and her beautiful prints will be with the French labels Restored, Sweet Blossom and their very fresh collection, Isidis which specialises in knitwear, Mayonka and their ready-to-wear collection and very glamorous underwear! Peru will be attending with Movimiento Manuela Ramos, Qaytu.

When it comes to unisex collections: companies are gradually developing their menswear collections alongside the womenswear line in order to appeal to department stores, many are offering men's and women's collections. There will be several French firms in evidence, like L'herbe Rouge, Andes Made and their alpaca products. François 1st (Burkina Faso) returns with his organic cotton collection after his initial successful attendance last September.

Yao&Lua (France), Mama Rawa (Bolivia), Sumac (Peru) and their exquisite hand-knitted articles in alpaca offer a diverse range, for men/women/children/accessories with their Tribu collections, which have increasing appeal for concept stores!

Where childrenswear is concerned, we note Sumac (Peru) as well as two French firms, Biscotto&Léontine and Culottées. Eternal Creation (Australia) will be presenting their designs for the first time in Paris.
