Ted Baker brand books 10.7% growth in Retail Div

Lifestyle brand Ted Baker Plc is pleased to announce a 10.7 percent improvement in sales in its retail division for the period from 1 November 2005 to 24 December 2005 against the same period last year.

The brand traded well across all collections both in the UK and overseas. Full price retail gross margins were largely in line with the levels achieved last year.

Ted Baker will start the new season with a clean stock position.

They expect to announce our preliminary results for the 52 weeks to 28 January 2006 on Wednesday 22 March 2006.

Commenting on trading, Ray Kelvin, Chief Executive, said that they are pleased to report strong sales growth both in the UK and overseas despite a tough retail environment.

They remain committed to the international development of the Ted Baker brand and are confident of a successful outcome for the full year.
