Christian Dior registers strong organic revenue in 2005

Fashion company Christian Dior Group announced the results for 2005.

In 2005, consolidated Christian Dior Group revenue reached EUR 14,555 million, representing 11 percent growth at current exchange rates, and 11 percent organic sales growth, on a comparable structural and constant exchange rate basis.

LVMH achieved annual revenue of EUR 13,909 million, representing growth of 11 percent over 2004.

In December, LVMH posted record revenue with an exceptionally strong year-end, most notably at Louis Vuitton and Wines & Spirits, compared to the already strong organic growth recorded during the fourth quarter of 2004.

All geographic regions where the Group is present increased their revenue, with an acceleration of growth in the United States, Asia and Europe.

Christian Dior Couture reported revenue of EUR 183 million in the fourth quarter of 2005, representing growth of 12 percent at current exchange rates. This quarter benefited from particularly strong revenue at year-end, confirming the success of the women's and men's prêt-à-porter, jewellery, accessories and leather goods collections.

In 2005, revenue reached EUR 663 million, representing 11 percent growth at current exchange rates, and 11 percent organic sales growth.

Asia and the United States have made significant contributions to this growth.

During the course of the year, the number of Christian Dior Couture boutiques rose to 194.

The Christian Dior Group confirms a double-digit growth in its profit from recurring activities for 2005.

Fashion designing company Christian Dior offered collection for view in both image gallery and video formats. Backed by the dynamic performance of its two subsidiaries Christian Dior Couture and LVMH, the Christian Dior Group intends to improve its performance and increase its leading edge.
