Gucci is pleased to dress singer/songwriter Florence Welch for the upcoming tour of Florence + the Machine in a wardrobe of Fall/Winter outfits designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini. The ‘Ceremonials’ tour will open on September 14 in Boston with subsequent dates across North America and Europe throughout the fall. The announcement follows the previous North American tour in 2011 when Giannini first dressed Welch in her designs.

Giannini said, “Seeing Florence evolve as an artist since her last tour has been truly inspiring, and I was delighted to work with her on this new wardrobe. For her on-stage style, we wanted to create a romantic yet modern aesthetic for Florence to interpret with her dark glamour and dramatic sensuality. I am looking forward to the show as Florence always puts an enchanting energy into every performance.”

Welch added,  “I was immediately drawn to the drama of the collection when I first saw it on the runway. I am so grateful to Frida and feel very fortunate to be collaborating with Gucci once again.”

‘Ceremonials’, which debuted at no. 1 in the UK Album’s charts and the top 10 in 12 different countries almost a year ago, has taken Florence + The Machine to new heights with over 2 million copies sold worldwide - including 600k sales in the UK alone. Florence also celebrated her long-awaited first UK No.1 single this year with ‘Spectrum’ in July.
