2012 Award Winners
The panel of judges was made up of Mariette Hoitink (Managing Director at HTNK Fashion Recruitment & Consultancy), Dolores Gouveia (Modatex fashion school) and Júlio Torcato (Designer). Their judgement was focussed on innovation, originality, creativity, fabrics and quality of the collections and based on creativity (40%) and marketability (60%). 2011 Award Winner
The 2011 award winner was invited as IAF’s guest, to attend the World Apparel Convention and show the collection entered last year at the catwalk show. Camilo Alvarez lives and designs in Medellin, Colombia. His objective is to make a connection between communication and fashion. For him, being a designer in a city where fashion is still developing is never a disadvantage, but a characteristic and a positive condition.
