Disney princess dresses at London's Harrods for Christmas

For all the die-hard fans of beautiful Disney princesses a bouquet of enchanting fashion treats will be unveiled at the world's most famous department store Harrods in London, on November 1, 2012.

Harrods has teamed up with a group of ten extremely talented internationally famous womenswear designers to create a magnificent set of ten exquisite gowns inspired by the spectacular outfits worn by the popular princesses of fairy tale-based Disney movies.

The regal collection includes an embellished dress with romantic ruffles for Aurora of Sleeping Beauty repute, designed by Elie Saab.

The line also features a Marchesa designed deep blue coloured silk dress for the modern day Ariel in Little Mermaid.

Versace gave Cinderella a golden frock seasoned with his signature Medusa motifs, whereas Valentino created an ultra-feminine outfit with chiffon pleats for Belle from Beauty and the Beast fame.

Rapunzel has been given a pale grey dress by Kate Middleton’s designer Jenny Packman, while Princess Snow White sports a classy look with a bejewelled bodice designed by Oscar de la Renta.

Roberto Cavalli has created a printed frock adorned with feathers for Pocahontas whereas the job of creating the outfits of Jasmine from Aladdin, Mulan and Tina from the Princess and the Frog has been given to Escada, Missoni and Ralph & Russo, respectively.

The festive collection will be showcased at the store’s Christmas window.

Founded in 1834, Harrods is an upmarket department store that specializes in a range of luxury items.
