Talking about the label, Karan Johar said, “I have always been interested in the aesthetics of fashion and my ideas and thoughts for the stylish urban male are showcased in the Karan Johar + Varun Bahl label.”

Varun Bahl said, “The new fashion collection will create a spectacular language in fashion and style of Indian menswear.”

“The Karan Johar + Varun Bahl label will be distinguished by carefully detailed, subtle sophistication and stylistic innovations,” he added.

Karan Johar + Varun Bahl label offers trousseau lines, smart casuals and formal wears in pure white, moody grey, navy blue and coal black colors.

The partnership between the duo started during a star studded show ‘HDIL couture week 2009’. 

The pop-up shop launched by Pernia Qureshi, a leading stylist and fashion icon, showcases menswear collections of Indian designers like Raghavendra Rathore, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Nimish Shah, Suket Dhir and Atsu Sekhose.

Varun Bahl is known for his innovative use of exclusive fabrics and painterly use of colors, based on a singular vocabulary of elements.

Karan Johar is well-known for his Bollywood films ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Kal ho Naa Ho’ and ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’.
