Karishma Shahani unveils 'Ramayana' inspired line at LFW

Aimed at the urban Indian woman who seeks inspiration from her own culture to find the strength to take on any kind of challenges, the range comprised skirts, jackets, shorts and shirts.

In exclusive hand dyed fabrics such as organic denim, organic cotton, silk, linen and even plastic, the designer played with jewel tones such as emerald green, ruby red, pop orange, sky blue as well as softer hues such as a pearlescent pink along with shades of gold such as beige and bronze.

To breathe further life into her creations, the designer worked with several techniques such as hand illustrations, prints and embroideries making each individual piece a work of art of its own.

The collection which sported in all 20 prints told a story of a warrior, an inspiration for beauty and art.

Breathtaking and unique, ‘Katha’ by Karishma Shahani is a collection which will have any diva simply smitten.
