Opening the show with a glamorous gown in shades of fog with ivory and crystal embroidery, the entry was a fashionable tribute that reflected the layers of the irregular lunar crust. Moving onto colours that matched the theme, Rajat added cool sage, warm coral, midnight blue with hints of copper and black for a gentle shimmer.
The fabric choice was Italian silk, cotton and stretch satin, all skilfully moulded to create silhouettes and contours resembling the fluidity of water and glossy surfaces of the earth.
Layering and draping appeared, as fabrics cascaded down the creations in languid folds. Embellishments added to the beauty of the gowns as mother of pearl, opal, stone and copper embellishments sparkled discreetly on the outfits.
Women’s wear was aimed at the formal category with hand pleated dress showing cascading pleats at the back, a body suit with sheer base, the daring draped flared top with jacket and the structured dress with embroidery.
Gowns were fitted, dresses had drapes on the side and peplums were added to regal maxis. The solo jumpsuit once again had transparent sleeves but with lavish embroidery. The final ruffled, layered, midnight blue gown, the fitted backless maxi with copper embroidery and the one with pleating details were stunning in their beauty and creativity.
The seven suits for the men had as much styling and panache. Particularly eye-catching, was the black suit with glitzy embellishments on the armholes and left cuff that will be a hit at formal events. Rajat opted for hand embroidered shoes that matched the garments.
For creations that reflect the beauty of the earth as well as the style and elegance of Rajat Tangri’s touches, the “GEO” collection will be the ideal choice for the sartorially conscious fashion follower.
