Rajesh Pratap Singh designs cool jacket with Merino wool

With their constant endeavour to bring forth innovation in apparels industry; The Woolmark Company introduces the Cool Wool merino fabric that keeps the body temperature restrained even on a hot day. Merino Wool is an innovative and unique natural fibre that moderates your body temperature and helps you stay cool, even when the weather is hot.

The brand, along with recently announced Wool Ambassador of India, veteran designer Rajesh Pratap Singh, offers his designs in this revolutionary material.  Rajesh has created an interesting, structured light weight Cool Wool Jacket with front zippers and circular pockets.

About his creation he said “The current generation is looking for the complete package in their wardrobes - chic, classy and practical. My creation in Cool Wool is the perfect summer jacket this season. While the country manager of The Woolmark Company, Mr. Amir Sheikh reckons “Cool Wool fabric are best temperature regulators; therefore it is a perfect fibre to wear this summers.”   To which Rajesh added “It’s amazing to see how versatile Wool can be as a fabric; it really excites me more as I work with it”.

The versatility of Merino Wool makes it a unique fibre across the globe. An entirely renewable natural resource, this fibre is soft and gentle on your skin and prevents from odour problems in hot weather conditions. Sourced from Merino sheep, this wool shrugs off stains and retains the original colour of the garments when washed.

The flame retardant fibre is sure to keep you safe and secure. Merino provides the perfect blank canvas. New wool treatments are in constant development, allowing the creation of unique textures and finishes. And when Merino clothing is dyed it is colorfast. Newly developed coloring techniques using coating, printing and injection systems give designers full scope for creativity.
