MayaLena has introduced its Momono(TM), a modern-day housecoat inspired by the kimono and designed to look gorgeous and make mothers caring for children at home feel good about their appearance.

As added benefits, the Momono is comfortable to wear and protects clothing from the inevitable stain agents a mother encounters each day.

As happens with most good ideas, MayaLena founder Marie Ottley created the Momono out of necessity. "As a new mother, I was astonished by the volume of drool, spit-up, milk and baby food that, despite my best efforts, ended up all over my clothes every day."

Ottley explained, "I soon realized treating my shirts with stain remover had become a daily routine. I really needed something comfortable, practical and easy to care for that would allow me to breastfeed easily. And even though I was spending much more of my day inside the house, I still wanted to wear something beautiful that made me feel attractive."

That something was the Momono. Forget the old calico snap-front housecoat stigma: Ottley selected beautiful tropical and exotic prints that she says are "not only gorgeous, but are also pretty good at camouflaging pureed squash."

The Momono's pocket is roomy enough to hold tissues, pacifiers, hair clips and anything else a mom usually needs to keep close at hand.

Flattering to just about any woman's figure, the Momono can be worn alone or with a shirt underneath. It's equally striking withcomfortable jeans, yoga pants or capris. And the Momono is made entirely in the US.
