NATURALNESS, STILLNESS
It is obvious that in other trend directions there will be much decoration, jacquards, embroidery and prints. As a logic reaction to the extreme loud colors and to the over-the-top shiny, glittery, glamorous looks of the last seasons, there will be an increasing need for calmness, stillness and peace in our busy, stressed world; natural and neutral colors are gaining importance. So are 'rusticality' in fabrics, 'rougher' looks, less shiny, smooth surfaces, 'dry' crepe-like handles. Linen is coming back very strong. Nevertheless, it is always very refined and sophisticated. This is an important trend coming up for 'age-less' people who just want 'to be'…..who love an elegant, natural, and inner beauty, who want durable and timeless clothes, and no dictate from the fashion scene!
Again, the inspiration sources are different: colonial, Cuban (Havanna) atmospheres; wild Africa, the jungle and nature itself.
Besides the 'midtone in-between' colors, here the feel, the touch, the tactility of textiles is very important: 'raw' natural materials and their structures like earth, trees, wood, sand, straw, linen, spices, chalk, stones; but also the smooth fluidness of substances like cream and honey.
