Mariella Burani acquires 51% of Coccinelle for €30.2mn

After the acquisition, revenues generated from the handbag and accessories segment of MBFG will increase from 52 percent of total leather goods revenues to 67 percent expected for 2006. Additionally, total revenues generated from the group's leather goods division will increase from 31 percent of total group revenues (generated in 2005) to 40 percent expected in 2006.
The international retail network of Coccinelle (47 boutiques world-wide) complements the group's existing network which is expected to count over 300 boutiques world-wide by the end of 2006.
Mariella Burani Fashion Group designs, produces and distributes internationally a complementary range of accessible luxury apparel, knitwear, leather accessory, and footwear collections under its own brands and under license for renowned international designers.
The group's distribution network includes 219 exclusive boutiques situated in the most prominent shopping locations world-wide with 100 showrooms and over 9,000 wholesale clients.
