Antonio Rubio Merino, 37, so far director of Administration of the fashion retailer Inditex Group, will hold as of today the office of Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Rubio will also join the Steering Committee and the Business Committee of the company. Before joining the Inditex Group back in 2003, the new CFO, a graduate in Economics and Business Studies and in Geography and History, was director of Consolidation and Audit at Grupo Abengoa.
In addition, Abel López, 41, has been appointed as new Director of Export and Transport at Inditex, assuming in this capacity new corporate responsibilities within the Transport area, adding to those he already had in the Export area.
The purpose of the Transport area is to coordinate the distribution from the Logistics Centres to the final delivery at the store as well as to manage the pertaining transport fleets.
Inditex Group is one of the worlds largest fashion distributors, with eight sales formats -Zara, Pull and Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home y Kiddy's Class- boasting 2,696 stores in 62 countries.
