The sixth edition of the famous Belarusian fashion and cultural event Belarus Fashion Week (BFW) is going to take place from April 23 to 28, 2013 in the country’s capital city of Minsk.

Highlighting trends for the next Fall-Winter 2013/2014 season, the event will be divided into two runway areas—the main catwalk for the participating designers and an off-schedule ramp for the young designers and new brands.

Famous Belarusian labels like Alena Levonyuk, Alena Volkava and Aiplatov Ivan along with their foreign counterparts Irina Kovalenko (Ukraine), Julia Janus (Lithuania) and I Am (Russia) will present their avant-garde lines at the week-long event.

Kazakhstan’s designer Aida Kaumenova will present her fairy collection at BFW. Inspired from the famous English novel ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, the range will be broken into three parts—first will feature oriental outfits, second will include baroque dresses and the third will showcase clothing made of perforated leather.

Other than the innovative runway shows, contests for young designers, educational programs and fashion blog competitions will also be organized on the sidelines of the event.
