Foreign & local names show at Belarus Fashion Week

The just concluded sixth edition of the famous Belarusian fashion and cultural event Belarus Fashion Week (BFW) showcased a range of Fall-Winter 2013/2014 collections by an interesting line-up of young and seasoned talents in the country’s capital city of Minsk.

Leading Belarusian labels like Boitsik, Fur Garden, Marinich, Tarakanova, Historia Naturalis, Kucherenko, Davidova, Natasha Tsu Ran, Svetlana Todorskaya, Harydavets & Efremova, Lena Tsokalenko, Maria Dubinina, Valeria & Anastasia Aksionovi, Zina Fedunina presented their avant-garde lines at the weeklong event.

Other than the local names, several international designer brands, including ‘Irina Kovalenko’ and ‘Yuliya Polishchuk’ from Ukraine, Lithuania’s ‘Julia Janus’ as well as ‘Diana Pavlovskaya’ and ‘I Am’ from Russia, also participated at the event.

Apart from the regular catwalk shows, the soiree also featured twelve extraordinary collections created by the country’s new emerging talents as part of the young designers’ contest.

Additionally, an expo on Belarusian national costumes, fashion blog competitions and other educational programmes were organized on the sidelines of the event.
