Ferry Sunarto features Kebayas at German festival

Kebaya, the traditional ultra-feminine blouse dress from Indonesia, has found new admirers among the high-society nobles of Germany.
Ferry Sunarto, a Jakarta-based designer, was recently awarded with the opportunity to showcase his sumptuous Kebayas at the just concluded Landpartie Schloss Buckeburg festival in Germany.
More than 10 extraordinary Kebayas were displayed at the cocktail reception event, held as part of the 4-day-long annual festival, which took place at Palace Buckeburg, based on the theme of Indonesian culture.
Fit to be worn as gorgeous eveningwear, the 10-piece haute couture Kebaya collection is based in a soft color palette of salmon pink, champagne and pastel blue.
In addition to the luxurious pieces replete with lace, sequins and beads, the designer has also created a special gown for Princess Nadja Anna Zsoek.
