This is where the Franco- Korean duo comprising Cécile Dallançon and Kyuho Lee, winner of the Dinard Grand Prix for Menswear, is presenting their collection, which blends very technical cuts and original fabrics created by the two designers, ahead of this September’s introduction at Texworld.
On the occasion of the preview last Thursday, Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France, was keen to congratulate the duo on their prize and explained Texworld’s policy of support for young international designers.
He explains: “As I was unable to attend the festival last April, I am now discovering the work of Cécile Dallançon and Kyuho Lee and have been won over by it.
Their collection blends creativity and functionality, the very thing that buyers and labels expect from young designers. We will be sharing this with our visitors so that they can make direct contact with the two designers at next September’s show.’’
Galerie Joyce, which has a tradition of hosting temporary exhibitions or sales by designers, has dreamed up a sober and inventive backdrop to showcase these young designers’ work.
