New fashion business mentoring helps startups in London

The creation of the workshops is the result of an agreement between the Kaleidoscope Enterprise Academy and Ben Muis, a London based fashion business mentoring and consultancy provider.

Ben regularly works with large international companies but has also provided consultancy and mentoring to recent British fashion industry success stories such as Rapha and London based Darling Clothes.

Kaleidoscope provides young entrepreneurs with the support and funding they need to get started. Fashion related startups with the Kaleidoscope organisation will be taken through topics such as product development, supplier selection, costing, PR, export options and will be taught tricks of the trade as they go through the process.

Paris Petgrave from Kaleidoscope commented on the agreement: "In this day and age young people need all the help they can get on their journey to create an income for themselves. We play a part in this by providing funding and guidance for startup businesses of all types. I found we have an increasing number of fashion startups and the guidance these people need goes way beyond normal business skills. Fashion is a complicated and international trade.

“We recognised this and reached out to get them the best support we could through fashion business mentoring. We were very pleased to find that Ben Muis is so open to helping young fashion entrepreneurs. Ben is a certified mentor with a huge amount of experience in this industry. The access to his coaching is invaluable to our mentees."

The first participants have already been confirmed and the workshops commence in July.
