“I don’t feel like anyone in Little Rock has my sense of style,” says Smith, of Little Rock. “This year, look forward to seeing more colors in my collection.” Hope E. is an eclectic mix of vintage and modern styles to create ready to wear and couture fashions for young women.
“If I continue to stay in Little Rock, I will keep participating in Little Rock Fashion Week,” said Smith.
LRFW has displayed over 75 fashion brands of all levels: local, national, international and even student designers. Labels have been showcased and evaluated by fashion and entertainment executives from E! Entertainment, MTV, and the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. This year, Denis Antoine, an international menswear designer and professor at Savannah College of Art & Design School of Fashion, is one of the key evaluators.
Participating clothing lines compete to win LRFW’s “2013 Clothing Line of the Year.” The winner receives several prizes and special benefits up to one year. The designer’s collection that wins LRFW “2013 Clothing Line of the Year” will receive an automatic entrée to be showcased at DC Fashion Week in September.
