Miami and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim are synonymous with beautiful models, sizzling swimwear and chic celebrities. But behind all the glamour, DHL, the world’s leading logistics company, is an integral part of the non-stop activity as the latest beach styles are delivered to the runway.

“Expert logistics support, especially with our newly expanded Miami hub, ensures that the latest swimwear creations by designers such as Agua Bendita are brought to the runway – right on time.”

DHL returns as the Official Logistics Partner for the eighth consecutive year as the Mercedes–Benz Fashion Week Swim gets under way at the historic Raleigh Hotel in South Beach, July 18 through July 22. DHL is sponsoring the much-anticipated Agua Bendita 2014 swimwear collection runway show on Friday, July 19 at 6 p.m.

Started in 2003 by Colombian designers Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, Agua Bendita is one of the fastest growing swimwear brands in the world and has positioned itself as a brand known for its playful yet edgy, modern designs that maximize color, texture and high-quality materials to create truly unique handcrafted beachwear and accessories. Women around the world identify with Agua Bendita and its eye-catching, exclusive swimwear.

“When managing a multinational fashion line, a good logistics partner is important. Agua Bendita chose DHL for its speed, reliability and international coverage. We have been with DHL since our early beginnings,” said Agua Bendita Designers Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza,

As the sponsor of the Agua Bendita runway show and the Official Logistics Partner for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, DHL works alongside a troupe of hair stylists, make-up artists and designers to provide vital logistics support not only during Fashion Week, but also in the weeks and months running up to this classic Miami Beach fashion event.

“Collaborating with Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim and Agua Bendita is a perfect way to showcase our capabilities in the complex and demanding nature of the fashion industry,” said Christine Nashick, VP Marketing, DHL. “Expert logistics support, especially with our newly expanded Miami hub, ensures that the latest swimwear creations by designers such as Agua Bendita are brought to the runway – right on time.”

DHL plays an important role in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim, assisting with everything from importing textile samples to exporting an entire line to and from catwalk venues. In addition, DHL offers designers and fashion houses the opportunity to use its GOGREEN carbon-offset transport services, as well as innovative shipping solutions such as reusable shipping containers with internal compartments to maximize capacity reflecting the increasing importance of sustainable practices in the fashion industry.

DHL is the one-stop logistics and transportation provider of choice for the $250 billion fashion industry, offering a full suite of services that include an international air express network spanning more than 220 countries, air, ocean and ground freight services, supply chain and distribution management as well as extensive knowledge of customs and trade regulations.
