A retrospective tribute will be paid, to iconic British fashion rebels and enthusiasts, who helped in shaping up the international fashion industry by re-defining the conventional fashion sensibilities, through a series of films based on those people’s lives.

Slated to take place at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image from August 31 to September 7, 2013, the documentary film series will be organized by the British Council Australia.

To be held as part of GREAT Britain Arts 13, the event ‘From Twiggy to Westwood: Great British Fashion on Film’ will feature a series of documentaries filmed on the legendary supermodels, fashion journalists and men’s and women’s designers.

The film titled ‘In Vogue: The Editor's Eye’ will focus on the works of Vogue’s current Brit editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and the American creative director Grace Coddington as well as the magazine’s international editor Hamish Bowles.

Former British model and the famous ‘face of 1966’ Lesley Hornby will once again be celebrated in the documentary named ‘Twiggy: The Face of ‘66’, which will chronicle the life and emergence of the cropped haired lissom model into a teenage sensation in swinging sixties London.

The rise and evolution of the noted fashion mavericks Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, who are largely being credited for establishing and popularising their own unique sartorial sentiments, will be documented in the film ‘British Style Genius: Breaking the Rules - Fashion Rebel Look’.
