Anita’s bridal muse- Nayantara and the essence of Anita’s design philosophy have been captured in a crisp, engaging and a more indulgent style by filmmaker Onir. Shot at Jaipur's Samode Palace, this one-minute film capture Nayantara and her various moods against the stunning backdrop of the Samode Palace. A fitting melange of a modern day bride combined with the heritage of Rajasthan, the short video gives a beautiful glimpse into Jaipur Bride 2013
The film artistically captures Nayantara- a young effervescent girl who challenges convention yet loves all things traditional. Coming from a royal lineage, Nayantara epitomises modern day feminity juxtaposed with a free-spirited adventurous soul. Her style sensibilities allow her to beautifully marry the timelessness of tradition with the simplicity of contemporary design.
Jaipur Bride 2013 epitomises Nayantara’s sartorial sensibility, which is modern, confident and classic intertwined with her strong values and heritage! Characterised by linear symmetry, and embroidered geometric shapes and patterns, this collection echoes the architectural splendour and detailing of Jantar Mantar.
With sensuous saris and swirling lehengas, dramatic jackets and classic salwar kameezes, palazzo pants and bandis amongst other styles, the collection is the perfect meeting ground of cultural richness and modernity. The palette is made up of hues of lime green, gulabi pink, ink blue and rose pink
The collection is Indian in its essence, which is brought to life through a range of textures and fabrics, and the silhouettes have western influences. Anita has re-interpreted bridal ensembles by adding an innovative twist of geometric prints and shapes, and embellishing them with gotapatti embroidery.
