She is still remembered for her headstrong independent nature and revolutionary wardrobe. And once again the spirited personality of the late American actress Katharine Hepburn will be celebrated through a costume exhibition at the Trout Museum of Art, Appleton, Wisconsin.

Scheduled to take place from September 13 to December 15, 2013, the event titled ‘Katharine Hepburn: Dressed for Stage & Screen’ will feature a rarely exhibited collection of nearly 40 costumes, worn by the Broadway star in her long acting career spanning more than six decades.

Partly sourced from the legendary actress’s personal collection, currently owned by the Kent State University Museum, the stage, screen and television costume exhibits will include the famous little black evening dress from 1949 American film ‘Adam’s Rib’.

In addition to the black dress, the event will also feature an array of gorgeous gowns and smart slacks as well as a novel ensemble, comprising of khaki pants paired with a blue shirt and a white turtle neck.

Died on June 29, 2003, Katharine Hepburn was the proud winner of four Academy Awards in the Best Actress category.
