Retailer Splash celebrates 20 years with fashion show

Taking inspiration from the era of decadence and extravagance pieces like military inspired jackets, lace gowns and dresses and punk inspired youthful tartan checks were also seen on the runway.

Gold embellishments, military detailing, sheer layering along with leather trims were integral highlights adding edginess to the looks. With utility elements staying, sports inspired fashion was a huge trend on the runway where elements from varied sports are picked and carefully altered to suit the urban city lifestyle, where the elements of style lie in the fabric and the cut that are reinterpreted for a casual active take.

‘Varsity’ was a carryover of preppy influences that aptly capture the feeling of 90’s street wear & creates a link between street sports from urban city and great outdoors.  Taking the ideals of functionality and simplicity a step further Splash translates non-fussy silhouettes and unisex shapes.

Oversized jackets and tops in drop shoulder or boxy cuts are teamed with longer length skirts and dresses in a colour palate of muted shades. Timeless pieces which are rich but not extravagant find favor with the urban fashion aficionado.
