Ararat to distribute Lamborghini clothing in South Africa

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., Italian manufacturer of luxury sports cars, owned by Volkswagen Group through its subsidiary, Audi, has entered into an agreement with Dubai-based Ararat International, a leading distributor of consumer and government products, to represent and distribute its new extensive clothing and accessory line in South Africa.

Ararat International was established in Sudan, Africa in 1974, representing clients that include and have included Michelin, Peugeot, Ferrari, Dassault Aviation, Komatsu, Alcatel-Lucent and Alstom, one of the largest publicly traded power and rail companies in the world, amongst numerous others. Ararat has offices in Dubai, Khartoum, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Said Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.'s Miguel Soares, "We are looking forward to start working with Ararat and we strongly believe that we will build a long and successful partnership." Ararat International has extensive experience working with large automobile companies, such as its 37-year relationship with Peugeot, in the Sudan.

The Lamborghini line, however, fall into Ararat's consumer products division, the Company having exclusively distributed True Religion, Affliction, Ed Hardy, Kooba and other fashion-related brands. Other Italian clients include Ferrari, Musetti, Balconi, Zaini, Bice, Robert De Niro's Ago restaurants, and others.

Garo S. Vanian, President of Ararat International, who was awarded the French Legion of Honor in 1993 for the development of Franco-African Business Relations, said, "We are very pleased to represent, as distributors, Lamborghini, one of the world's most exotic brands. Lamborghini epitomizes luxury in performance and appeals to the most sophisticated consumers."
