Pasar Indonesia back at Jakarta Fashion Week
Oct '13
Pasar Indonesia was back at Jakarta Fashion Week with “Fashion Parade” at the Fashion Atrium of Senayan City. Five designers of Indonesian pride were present on the show; Monday to Sunday, Eridani, Milcah, NFRT and Vinora.

Monday to Sunday utilized the Merdeka Brebes batik, but still, the pieces looked casual yet contemporary. The loose and draping top with batik pattern and unusual cut on the sleeves or waist was completed by the striped legging.

Eridani chose a romantic theme with multi layer technique for the Muria Batik Kudus fabric. The dark colors did not look dull at all. Then, the elegant line showed by Milcah in the collection was made from Galeri Sutra fabric by Isang Garut.

The maxi skirt with ruffles on the waist was mixed with cream top draping just above the waist line. Milcah also used the see-through material on the back and presented kimono looks.

NFRT also utilized the Galeri Sutra fabric by Isang Garut as the main material in accentuating the modernity in the design. NFRT brought short jumpsuits, jackets with traditional fabric on the sleeves, and camisoles.

Meanwhile, Vinora used the songket fabric of Rumah Songket Adis Palembang. The rigid songket fabric could look wavy due to the pleat technique. The gold thread as the main character of songket supported the formal and professional look which was the main theme of Vinora.
