The womenswear designer Cara Cheung featured an edgy, ultra-sexy collection enhanced with thigh-high slits and sheer transparent panels. Decorated with architectural and graphic designs, the line included figure hugging pieces, long-sleeved dresses, black and lime green cocktail gowns, wrap front detailed sleeveless tops and minidresses as well as triangular lace bustiers.

Toronto-based fashion label Stephan Caras, from the Greek-born father and son duo Stephan and Kyriako Caras, presented a luxe eveningwear collection accentuated with strings of lustrous pearls. Based on classic floor-sweeping silhouettes and poufy bubble hems, the range showcased a variety of halter, one-shoulder and strapless dresses as well as baby doll and tiered numbers in shades of black, white, and blush and pastel pink.

Canada’s popular menswear label Bustle, by designer couple Shawn Hewson and Ruth Promislow, brought the tropical atmosphere on the ramp through its brightly coloured and boldly printed Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Titled as Exuberante, the orange, violet, grey, black and acid yellow tropical-themed line showcased pants, vividly patterned dual-toned blazers, shorts and T-shirts featuring parrots and toucans prints and phrases like ‘Employee of the Month’.

Mike Derderian, the co-founder of Canadian luxury label Pavoni, wrapped up the fifth day of WMCFW with the debut collection of his new eveningwear line Mikael D. The range presented short strapless dresses, fitted mermaid-style gowns, column dresses and voluminous ball gowns adorned with intricate tattoo embroidery and beadwork. The collection also included peplums, draped bodices, one-shoulder ruffle tops and jewel-studded pants.
